    ABOUT THE BEAN:

Sweet and balanced, with great structure and clarity, this limited Arara variety micro-lot comes from Sitio Canaa, in the small town of Piata in the Chapada Diamantina region of Brazil. Sitio Canaa is is run by young gun Kleumon Silva Moreira. At 28 years of age, Kleumon is not to be underestimated, having worked in the coffee industry for over a decade alongside Antonio Rigno, who's famously regarded as the best producer in the region.

Kleumon is quickly earning a name for himself as a conscientious and meticulous producer since establishing his very own farm, Sitio Canaa, in the Chapada Diamantina region in 2016. Each of the trees at Sitio Canaa is carefully planted 60cm apart, in rows that are 3.3m apart, mirroring the precision and best practice of Antonio Rigno's farms. This, in combination with the privileged growing conditions found at Piata—high altitudes, rich soil and ideal temperatures—present favourable conditions for the production of high-quality coffee with a cup profile that is very bright, transparent, and distinctive.

Kleumon represents the next generation of coffee producers in Piata and we're incredibly excited to be carrying this limited micro-lot.
