ABOUT THE PRODUCER:
When Juan Alberto Contreras was born, his father was already producing coffee as his main source of income. When he was a kid, he helped his father with the farm processes, de-pulping and moving the coffee to the drying patios. When he was 23 years old, he not only inherited Finca Miraflores from his father, he also inherited the passion of producing coffee. He learned many things when he was young, and he dreamed of continuing with his father's legacy and putting into practice all that his father had taught him. This passion that he felt, led him to do something different with his production, he wanted to add value and to be recognised for his hard work. In 2013, he had the opportunity to meet representatives from Beneficio San Vicente, who guided him towards improving his processes to produce specialty coffee. Juan decided to give it a try and now he is excited and motivated to continue growing and developing in this market.
