    ABOUT THE BEAN

This peaberry micro-lot has been produced by various smallholder farmers, who deliver coffee cherries to Dukunde Kawa’s Mbilima Washing Station, where they are processed together. Peaberry signifies the shape and size of this unique coffee bean. Usually, coffee seeds develop two per fruit, with the flat sides facing one another. Sometimes, only one seed grows and forms an oval shape within the coffee cherry. This is a peaberry, and these small beans pack some big flavour!

This coffee lot showcases everything we love about the humble peaberry. Expect to find a cup full of honey, plum and black tea. Sweet and delicate with a juicy body and pleasantly balanced acidity - this coffee lot showcases everything we love about the humble peaberry.
