    ABOUT THE BEAN

    The name Nyagashiha comes from a historical tree that once grew in the Murago region that people in the surrounding areas used to construct their houses that built the community. The manager of Nyagashiha, Jean-Baptiste Bigirimana, oversees 400MT of green coffee per harvest. His rigour and can do attitude combine to create a bean that produces a wonderfully clean, complete and consistent cup. As a leader of innovation he continues to promote new processes and quality improvements to create a delicious cup. Through his hard work this washing station placed in the top 20 of Cup of Excellence 2019.

    Nyagashiha mill is part of the Akawa project that strives for better and fairer practices for coffee producers - fairer remunerations, improved living conditions and helping to break the cycle of poverty.

    Not only is the Nyagashiha Single Origin a must try, second to non flavour, but you can also rest assured that your cup of coffee supports the communities that make it.
