What You'll Do:

Prepare incredible dishes: Cook and present meals to meet Stitch Coffee’s high standards.

Collaborate with the team: Work with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to bring fresh ideas and exciting dishes to our menu.

Maintain a clean workspace: Follow food safety protocols to keep your kitchen area spotless and organized.

Contribute to menu development: Get involved in crafting new, innovative menu items that highlight seasonal ingredients.

Mentor and lead: Share your knowledge with junior team members to help them grow in their roles.

Manage inventory: Keep an eye on stock levels and reduce wastage to ensure a smooth kitchen operation.

Proven experience as a cook or similar role, with a strong background in kitchen operations.

The Role:

As the Store Manager, you will be the driving force behind the daily operations and long-term success of the store. You’ll be responsible for creating an inspiring culture, achieving business goals, and ensuring seamless operations across the front and back of house.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Motivate, train, and inspire your team to deliver exceptional performance and achieve KPIs.
• Business Strategy: Understand and implement strategies to drive sales, manage costs, and grow the store’s success.
• Operational Excellence:
  • Balance and optimize staff rosters to meet business needs, ensuring the store is always well-prepared for busy periods.
  • Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent quality, efficiency, and adherence to company standards.
  • Manage inventory and ordering to ensure the store is always stocked with the right products while minimizing waste.
  • Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional service and create memorable experiences for every customer, with a focus on upselling and retail excellence.
  • Performance Management: Build performance reports, set KPIs, and ensure your team consistently delivers on targets.
  • Square Proficiency: Utilize the Square POS system effectively, including backend setup and reporting.
  • Recruitment and Training: Hire, train, and onboard new staff to build a high-performing, cohesive team.
  • Vision and Brand Building: Bring creativity and a hunger to build the brand, always looking for ways to elevate the store’s presence and impact.
  • Collaboration: Bridge the gap between front of house and back of house, ensuring seamless communication and teamwork.
  • Organization: Maintain impeccable organization across operations, inventory, and schedules.

About You:

Your Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Expertly prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages with precision and consistency, ensuring each cup meets our strict standards of excellence.

• Showcase your skill and creativity through meticulous latte art elevating the visual appeal of each beverage.
• Engage customers in meaningful conversations about our premium coffee offerings, sharing insights into origins, flavour profiles, and brewing techniques to enhance their coffee knowledge and appreciation.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to stringent hygiene and safety protocols. Regularly calibrate and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the Head Barista, fellow baristas and team members, supporting each other to maintain a smooth workflow during peak hours and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Cultivate a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, providing attentive and personalized service to create a memorable experience for every customer.
• Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, utilizing strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Contribute to the overall ambiance of our coffee shop by assisting with tasks such as organizing displays and maintaining an inviting environment.

Requirements:

• Proven at least 2 years of experience as a specialty coffee barista, by demonstrating the skills listed below:
• A good and proven skills in operating and maintaining our professional equipments such as Tone, Uber, Fetco and Wally.
• Able to communicate the profile of coffee origins to customers in a professional manner that is engaging and leading the conversations toward sales.
• Able to conduct a TDS reading and adjust brew and extraction variables to develop an excellent coffee tasting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers in informative and enjoyable conversations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and maintain composure under pressure.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to accommodate the needs of our customers.
• High standards of professionalism, hygiene, and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, team player mentality, and a strong work ethic.
