Our love for coffee is showcased by professional baristas, daily home brewers and the cafes that serve our coffee. We are continuously evolving our buying practices and fostering relationships with importers and farmers to ensure a healthy future for coffee.

Your Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Expertly prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages with precision and consistency, ensuring each cup meets our strict standards of excellence.

• Showcase your skill and creativity through meticulous latte art elevating the visual appeal of each beverage.
• Engage customers in meaningful conversations about our premium coffee offerings, sharing insights into origins, flavor profiles, and brewing techniques to enhance their coffee knowledge and appreciation.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to stringent hygiene and safety protocols. Regularly calibrate and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the Head Barista, fellow baristas and team members, supporting each other to maintain a smooth workflow during peak hours and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Cultivate a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, providing attentive and personalized service to create a memorable experience for every customer.
• Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, utilizing strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Contribute to the overall ambiance of our coffee shop by assisting with tasks such as organizing displays and maintaining an inviting environment.

Requirements:

• Proven at least 2 years of experience as a specialty coffee barista, by demonstrating the skills listed below:
• A good and proven skills in operating and maintaining our professional equipments such as Tone, Uber, Fetco and Wally.
• Able to communicate the profile of coffee origins to customers in a professional manner that is engaging and leading the conversations toward sales.
• Able to conduct a TDS reading and adjust brew and extraction variables to develop an excellent coffee tasting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage customers in informative and enjoyable conversations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and maintain composure under pressure.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, to accommodate the needs of our customers.
• High standards of professionalism, hygiene, and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude, team player mentality, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and meticulously present dishes following Stitch Coffee's established standards and recipes.
• Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and fellow kitchen staff to conceptualize and execute a menu that emphasizes the beauty of our offerings.
• Uphold impeccable cleanliness and organization within your designated kitchen area, adhering to stringent food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Assist in overseeing food inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels while minimizing any wastage.
• Guide and mentor junior kitchen team members, sharing your expertise in culinary techniques and best practices.
• Actively participate in menu development, contributing innovative ideas to elevate our offerings.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cook or similar role, with a strong culinary background.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent formal culinary training is a plus.
• In-depth understanding of diverse cooking techniques and the ability to execute them proficiently.
• Genuine passion for working with top-notch, fresh ingredients and creating dishes that highlight their natural flavors.
• Excellent communication skills, fostering a collaborative and supportive kitchen environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail, effective organizational abilities, and the capacity to excel under pressure.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and a commitment to upholding stringent sanitation practices.
