    ABOUT THE BEAN:

This lot has been grown by various smallholder producers who own small farms near Aponte, in northwest Nariño, Colombia. The land around Aponte is blessed with incredibly fertile soil, thanks to the nearby Galeras Volcano. At elevations of 2,100m metres above sea level, coffees in this region are some of the highest grown in the world. Though elevation this high sometimes poses problems, Nariño’s closeness to the equator, warm tropical days and cool nights, and its environment of valleys surrounded by steep hills and volcanoes provide an ideal angle for sun exposure. These conditions combine to create a unique and excellent micro-environment and climate for coffee cultivation.
Expect to find a cup brimming with nectarine, strawberry and floral notes. Complex and delicate, with a silky mouthfeel and juicy body. This lot from Aponte is a must try.
