    ABOUT THE BEAN:

Born into a multi-generational coffee farming family in Loja, Magda developed a deep passion and dedication to the industry from an early age.

Magda is an innovator: unhappy with the techniques used by her peers to produce coffee she believed was of inferior quality, she set about learning farming and processing methods that would develop more innovative and quality focused coffee. Today, she puts this philosophy into practice at her farm in the northwest of Ecuador, in the province of Pichincha, where she is also a fierce advocate for women in the industry. She leads a group of women in Pichincha who are committed to striving for more equitable working conditions in the coffee industry.

Magda’s level of dedication, passion and innovation is reflected in the incredible coffee we have here. This washed Typica Mejorado is a show stopper. Expect a juicy and floral cup with notes of pomegranate and yellow stonefruit paired with a crisp, medium-light body. This is a phenomenal coffee from one of the most exciting and important producers in Ecuador.
