Colombia, Aponte
About the Bean
A delicious cup from the most unlikely of circumstances. Aponte is a city like few others in Colombia—the remote town sits within a large canyon on Indigenous reserve. While the town’s high elevation would usually translate to a climate too cold to grow coffee, its proximity to the equator and the Galeras volcano actually allows for ideal production and honey processing. Overall, this honey-processed cup—pooled from the cherries of eight Aponte producers—sports truly unique flavours with big floral aromatics and complex fruit notes.
