A traditional, roasted green tea powder that’s light on caffeine and big on flavour. We source late-autumn tea leaves from Japan’s Shizuoka Prefecture to produce this delectable alternative to coffee and matcha.

Unlike its cousin matcha, hōjicha powder experiences one additional process prior to milling—roasting! After an initial steaming to halt oxidation, hōjicha is roasted to bring out the delectable toasted notes it's become famous for. You can learn more about the history of hōjicha here.

Please note there's no added flavours in this latte powder—just pure grounded hōjicha! Expect toasty caramel flavours, a nutty aroma, and a golden brew that makes for an excellent base for lattes.

HOW TO BREW HŌJICHA:

1. Add 1 tsp (approx. 3–5g) to a small bowl.
2. Pour in 30ml (70°C) of hot water.
3. Whisk to combine until powder is dissolved.
4. Add your preferred steamed or hot milk.
5. Optional: add sugar, honey, or syrup to sweeten to your liking.
