    Our first honey coffee of the year, courtesy of Dukunde Kawa cooperative! The 66 smallholders that contributed to this lot are firm believers in organic production, and have been since 2018 when Rainforest Alliance practices immediately improved the health of their post-harvest coffee trees. At Mbilima, the cooperatives’ highest washing station, the members sort, pulp, and then leave the beans to caramelise (mucilage on) for one week. This honey process culminates in a quality coffee of crisp, floral character. Expect rotund fruit notes and a pleasant grape-like taste.
