Ethiopia, Gora Kone
About the Bean
Meaning ‘mountain hump’ in the local language, Gora Kone is a washing station that sits on a hill surrounded by forest. Dotted in and around that forest are the 600–1000 farms whose cherries contributed to this cup, shaded by the picturesque acacia and wanza trees endemic to the region. While residing in the Oromia region, this lot sports a strong resemblance to Sidamo coffees with its complex fruit notes and hints of citrus. A washed process leaves the coffee tasting clean and bright, with a flourish of lime zest on the finish.
